DICE Stops Work On DLC To Fix Battlefield 4

It comes of no surprise really to hear this news. Since the game was released it’s been met with lots of negative criticism about it’s online performance and buggy gameplay and today EA & DICE have announced that work on future DLC packs has been haulted until the base game and the new expansion China Rising are in better working order.

Mostly issues have been network connectivity related  but there has been reports of save files either going missing or being corrupted. Then the game has also being plagued with bugs such as the notorious gun glitch that many have encountered for example.

EA’s Official Statement:

“First, we want to thank the fans out there that are playing and supporting us with Battlefield 4. We know we still have a ways to go with fixing the game – it is absolutely our #1 priority. The team at DICE is working non-stop to update the game. Since Battlefield 4 China Rising expansion pack was already in the final stages of development by the time issues began with Battlefield 4, we decided to fulfil our promise to deliver it this week, but we’re not moving onto future projects or expansions until we sort out all the issues with Battlefield 4. We know many of our players are frustrated, and we feel your pain. We will not stop until this is right.”

EA & DICE seem to be doing loads of damage control since the release of the game, with loads of double XP events and even unlocking a sight that was only produced and meant for use by the DICE development team.

Fingers crossed they get the game into shape soon. Most of the staff at Infinity Gaming  Media are yet to get their hands on Battlefield 4, mostly because of playing the Beta and seeing all the bad press. Maybe when the game has been fixed we’ll consider purchasing but at the moment we feel it was rushed to get out of the door thanks to EA and their horrible business model. It’s no wonder they are the most hated company in the world.
